Green eating is something that people are becoming increasingly more aware of. Not only are sustainable food choices good for your health, they also contribute to better treatment of animals, safer communities, and lessen negative impacts on the environment

Here's an interesting fact for you: According to a study done by the University of Iowa, 3.74 pounds of carbon dioxide are emitted for every mile that's traveled by a tractor-trailer.

What that means is that if you live in Boston, a load of strawberries that's come from California has put approximately 1,164 pounds of carbon dioxide into the air. That's a lot of carbon dioxide!
